This year’s Paris Motor Show marked the arrival of the fourth-gen Clio IV that will soon go on sale.
This doesn’t mean that the third generation of the model will be discontinued as Renault said that both cars will be sold, with the previous generation wearing the Clio Collection moniker.
This new-old version will be available in both 3- and 5-door versions with two trim levels to choose from: Alize and Business.
Under the hood it can get either a 1.2-liter 16V 75 gasoline engine or a more frugal dCi 75 diesel power unit. The cheapest Clio Collection money can buy will set you back 9,990 ($12,900) in France, which is considerably less than what you would have to pay for an entry-level Clio IV that has a 1.2-liter 16V 75 gasoline engine that costs 13,700 euros ($17,700).
According to Renault, the Clio Collection will be manufactured at the firm’s French factory located in Flins, near Paris. Until March next year, this new version of the Clio III will also be produced in Valladolid, Spain.
