Subaru Impreza Sedan concept goes official

The Subaru Impreza Sedan concept has made its official debut this week and acts as a preview for the next-gen Impreza due in 2016. It adopts the company’s latest Dynamic x Solid design language and as you can see the designers managed to do a really good job as the concept looks attractive and is a major improvement over the outgoing Impreza sedan. It looks more upscale and adopts a hexagonal front grille and a pair of hawk-eyed headlights together with LED fog lights. The vehicle wears a Ruby Red Metallic paint scheme and has a few glossy black accents while those multi-colored five-spoke wheels measure 19 inches.

The Subaru Impreza Sedan concept has an overall length of 179.3 inches and is 70 inches wide and 57.2 inches tall while the wheelbase measures 105.1 inches. This means that it has a roomy interior cabin perfectly capable of hosting five adults, but the rear headroom might be a little bit limited due to the sloping roofline.

We will have to wait and see how the concept will make the transition to the production model which will ride on a brand new architecture and get a range of frugal engines with cylinder deactivation technology. Subaru has announced the new Impreza is slated to enter production towards the end of next year.
