Volkswagen reveals GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo

Volkswagen has introduced the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo which was developed exclusively for Gran Turismo 6. A scale model car will be unveiled this weekend in Austria at the Worthersee Meet before the virtual car will make its debut in GT6 in June via a free download. Volkswagen says that we are dealing with a proper supercar featuring an open-top configuration and a very aggressive body kit. The vehicle sits on large 20-inch rims shod in 235/35 front and 275/30 rear tires with the stopping power coming from 15-inch front & 14-inch rear supercar-style vented discs.

Motivation is provided by a 3.0-liter VR6 TSI twin-turbo gasoline engine outputting no less than 503 bhp and a maximum torque of 491 lb-ft. The engine sends power to the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed DSG so it should turn out to be quite a potent machine. Needless to say, there aren’t any plans to put the concept into production in the near future.
