Volvo introduces XC90 Excellence with two individual rear seats

Volvo has taken the wraps off the XC90 Excellence which will receive its world debut next week at Auto Shanghai 2015. The changes on the outside were kept down to a minimum as only the B and C pillars have received some special chrome trim while the interior cabin has been vastly improved and now hosts two individual rear seats which are not only ventilated but they also have a massage function. Rear passengers get to enjoy more legroom compared to the standard XC90 and they also have a retractable touchscreen from where they can access many of the vehicle’s functions.

The Volvo XC90 Excellence comes nicely equipped with handmade crystal glasses, refrigerator, heated and cooled cup holders along with folding tables. It runs on Pirelli’s noise-cancelling tires and has received extra noise insulation to create a very quiet cabin. Volvo has also installed their ionic air system providing a continuous supply of fresh air while for sound there’s a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.

Billed as being Volvo’s “most luxurious vehicle ever built”, the XC90 Excellence is scheduled to go on sale later this year in select markets.
