Volvo S60 Inscription unveiled at 2015 NAIAS

The Volvo S60 Inscription has made its public debut at NAIAS this week in Detroit, prior to going on sale in the months to come. If the car looks familiar, that’s because it’s virtually the China-spec S60L which has now arrived stateside with a different moniker. It will be built in China with a wheelbase elongated by 3.2 inches to 112.5 inches which will create additional legroom for rear passengers and according to Volvo the model will have one of the most generous rear room in this segment.

The 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription (US-spec) has also received other changes such as the 19-inch rims, a Linear Walnut trim, interior accent lighting, Inscription-branded tread plates and silk metal detailing. The Swedish marque will offer the model in either Premier or Platinum versions, with the first one getting leather upholstery, a sunroof and a Sensus Navigation package. Upgrade to the Platinum model and you also receive bi-xenon headlights, Harman Kardon sound system and the full Sensus technology kit.

Volvo has announced they will sell the S60 Inscription in United States exclusively with a T5 engine which will work as standard with a front-wheel drive system but at an additional cost an AWD setup will be offered.
