1985 air-cooled Porsche 911 by BBi Autosport tested by Drive
Drive’s Matt Farah had the opportunity to test drive a 1985 Porsche 911. It’s no ordinary 911 as it an air-cooled version modified by BBi Autosport. The original car used to be a Carrera but the 3.6-liter engine was tweaked and now churns an extra 100 hp, resulting in 275 rwhp. Brakes and suspension system have received a major overhaul, while other changes include flared rear wheel arches, bumpers and a whale tail spoiler.
The sunroof has also been ditched in order to make the vehicle lighter and at the same time raise its center of gravity.
