2013 Peugeot RCZ R production version revealed
Peugeot is proud to reveal the production version of the RCZ R which will be going on sale next year. Its heart and soul is a 1.6-liter turbocharged THP engine producing 270 bhp (201 kW) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque which is enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than six seconds and an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). This R version has gone through a 17 kg (37 lbs) diet so it now weighs just 1,280 kg (2,821 lbs). According to Peugeot, the sports coupe can return 37.3 mpg US (44.8 mpg UK or 6.3 liters / 100 km), while CO2 emissions stand at 145 g/km.
Compared to the standard version, the RCZ R sits on 19-inch alloys and has been lowered by 10mm. It also can be distinguished by its huge rear spoiler, a new diffuser and 380mm brake discs. Other goodies include a Torsen differential, bespoke exterior paint schemes, bucket seats wrapped in a combination of Alcantara and Nappa, as well as a smaller steering wheel.
