2013 Shelby Raptor breaks cover
The 2013 Shelby Raptor has been announced a few days ago and as you would imagine it is based on the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. It is powered by the same 6.2-liter V8 engine but it has been equipped with a 2.9-liter supercharger along with a Borla exhaust system. As a result of these hardware modifications, the high-performance pick-up truck’s engine output has increased from the standard 411 hp (306 kW) to 575 hp (429 kW). Power is transferred to all four wheels with the help of a six-speed automatic transmission which has a manual mode for those who want more control behind the wheel.
The 2013 Shelby Raptor can be fitted with massive 35-inch Goodrich All-Terrain tires and a new set of alloy custom wheel. Other noticeable changes compared to the standard model include (but not limited to) boost and fuel pressure gauges, tweaked interior, side fender heat extractors, five graphics, as well as individually numbered dash and engine plaques.
This upgrade kit costs $17,995 more than the standard F-150 SVT Raptor and will be produced in limited quantities of just 100 units each year.
