2014 BMW 2-Series Coupe revealed
This is BMW’s all-new, first-ever 2-Series Coupe which serves as a replacement of the 1-Series Coupe that has been recently discontinued. The new model is 72mm longer, 32mm wider and a 30mm longer wheelbase compared to its predecessor, while the cargo capacity stands at 390 liters. Inside the cabin it can get lots of goodies such as a fineline stream wood trim, a 6.5-inch or 8.8-inch iDrive screen, brushed aluminum trim and Dakota leather upholstery instead of the standard cloth seats featuring a satin silver trim. The car will be available in Sport Line, Modern Line and M Sport trim versions brings all sorts of equipment.
In terms of power, the most interesting model will be the M235i motivated by an inline-six 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo unleashing 326 HP and 450 Nm of torque, allowing the car to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5 seconds and an electronically-capped speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Lesser models include the 225d with its 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel rated at 218 HP and 450 Nm, the 220d with the same engine detuned to produce 184 HP, along with a 218d model sporting the same engine outputting 143 HP. There’s also the 220i model with its 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder which produces 184 HP and 270 Nm.
