2014 Buick LaCrosse uncovered
The 2014 LaCrosse has been revealed online by Buick which describes the model as being a “landmark luxury sedan”. It comes with different front and rear bumpers, LED-infused headlights, along with a new look for the front grille. The back of the car has gained slightly updated taillights and more chrome trim. Inside there’s a new digital instrument cluster, a tweaked IntelliLink infotainment system, an updated center console, as well as a repositioned shifter and improved seats. Customers will be able to order the car with an Ultra Luxury package bringing synthetic suede accents, Shadow Tamo Ash wood trim and semi-aniline leather seats.
As far as technology is concerned, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse benefits from Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, along with Automatic Collision Preparation. Other tech includes Safety Alert Seat and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The base model makes use of a 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter rated at 182 bhp (136 kW) and 233 Nm (172 lb-ft) of torque which works together with an electric motor providing an extra 15 bhp (11 kW) and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft). A more powerful V6 3.6-liter is also available, producing 304 bhp (227 kW) and 358 Nm (264 lb-ft) of torque. Both of them come linked to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and an optional AWD setup.
