2014 Kia Sportage facelift introduced
South Korean automaker Kia has taken the wraps off the 2014 Sportage facelift which has gained a slightly updated front grille and redesigned fog lamps for the EX model. Kia says the crossover can be fitted with optional LED taillights and HID headlights, while the interior cabin now comes as standard with reclining rear outboard seats, a tilt/telescopic steering column, plus rear seat ventilation system. Clients can also configure the vehicle with a Premium package that comprises GPS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and leather upholstery.
Power comes from a 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine rated at 182 bhp and 177 lb-ft of torque, representing a modest increase of 6 bhp and 9 lb-ft of torque. The motor works in tandem with a six-speed automatic gearbox that allows the 2014 Kia Sportage facelift to return 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg highway in the front-wheel guise.
