You are looking at the sedan version of the all-new Mazda3 which is programmed to hit dealerships later this year. It has a very attractive elongated roofline and a sleek rear end which dare we say looks better than what the five-door hatchback has to offer. The interior cabin will be borrowed from the hatchback, while trunk has been increased significantly as a result of the added rear overhang. The car hasn’t been officially revealed so we don’t know the cargo capacity offered. We can only assume the engine lineup will remain the same so it should include only one diesel, the SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter outputting 147 bhp (110 kW).
The gasoline lineup is far more generous as it includes an entry-level SKYACTIV-G 1.5-liter developing 99 bhp (74 kW), followed by a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter offered with 118 bhp (88 kW) and 155 bhp (115 kW), together with a range-topping SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter generating 184 bhp (137 kW).
