2014 Mazda6 priced from $20,880
Mazda has quietly released pricing information about its upcoming Mazda6 sedan that has reached model year 2014 which marks an all-new generation model and will go on sale in the United States this January. The attractive mid-size sedan will be offered starting with January 2 in the U.S. exclusively with a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 184 hp. The base model will set you back $20,880 and this will get you the Sport variant that comes equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. This price tag does not include the additional $795 destination fee which in Alaska is higher as you will have to pay $840. There are two additional versions offered.
The first one is the Touring grade which gets the same power unit but this time it is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and comes with additional goodies such as 19-inch alloy wheels and a dual-zone climate control. This version has a starting price of $24,495 while the high-end Grand Touring which obviously comes with additional equipment starts from $29,495.
Mazda plans on introducing in the second half of 2013 a new engine in the form of a 4-cylinder, 2.2-liter turbodiesel unit that promises to provide more torque and also be considerably economical that the aforementioned 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter gasoline engine.
