2014 MINI will be unveiled on November 18
The moment many of you are waiting for is very close as MINI has announced the new generation of the namesake model will finally revealed on November 18, a date which represents the birth date of Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis which is the person attributed with the original design of the classic MINI. During the same week, MINI will showcase the new model not only at the Tokyo Motor Show but also at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car is programmed to hit dealerships during the first quarter of 2014. MINI has revealed the car will be showcased the first time at the firm’s assembly plant located in Oxford, UK.
The car will most likely carry some of the styling cues seen on the Rocketman concept and should have slimmer A-pillars, a longer bonnet and also a slightly smaller front grille. Inside the cabin the speedometer will be positioned on the driver’s side, while a few chrome inserts will make the cabin look and feel more premium.
Powering the 2014 MINI Cooper S will probably be a newly developed turbocharged 1.6-liter outputting 178 bhp. The same mill will unleash 217 bhp in the range-topping John Cooper Works (JCW) variant.
