The 2014 Nissan Leaf has a starting price of $28,980 which makes it $180 more expensive than the previous model year. This price tag does not the $850 in destination and handling charges, nor does it take into account the $7,500 federal income tax credit along with other possible incentives available in some locations throughout the U.S. The minor price hike is in some way explicable taking into account the Leaf is now offered as standard with a RearView Monitor which was previously an extra goodie that you had to pay for. The new model year also adds a seventh exterior paint job entitled Gun Metallic.
Motivation for the 2014 Leaf is provided by the same 107 bhp and 187 lb-ft of torque electric motor which grants the electric vehicle with the following fuel economy ratings: 126 MPGe in the city, 101 MPGe on the highway and 114 MPGe in the combined cycle. With the battery pack fully charged, the Leaf will have travel a distance of around 84 miles (135 km).
