The 2014 Ram 1500 has been revealed and comes with a richer exterior color option range, including the Granite Crystal and Blue Streak. There’s also a front park assist system which can detect objects located up to 120 cm (47.2 inches) away, along with a pulse-width modulation blower that can lower parasitic engine loss for a better fuel economy. Another novelty would have to be the variable displacement air compressor, together with a new engine in the form of a V6 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine rated at 240 bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque. This mill works in tandem with an 8-speed automatic gearbox promising to provide the best fuel economy in this segment.
Prices kick off from $24,200, without taking into account the $1,095 destination fees. If you want the EcoDiesel-powered model, prepare to pay an additional $2,850 than a similar version which has the V8 5.7-liter HEMI and 8-speed auto.
