2014 Range Rover Sport pitted against a Spitfire
Land Rover has come up with a rather interesting promotional clip for the 2014 Range Rover Sport which has been pitted against a 1945 Vickers Supermarine Spitfire that has power of 1,750 bhp (1,305 kW) from its V12 Merlin engine which enables the plane to reach a top speed of 400 mph (644 km/h). As a reminder, the new Range Rover Sport is motivated by a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine outputting 510 bhp (380 kW). Leaving aside these numbers, it’s always fun to watch a car racing a plane, especially when we are talking about an old plane and a brand new SUV.
