2015 Ford F-150 introduced at NAIAS
The Blue Oval company is proud to introduce the all-new 2015 F-150 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The truck features a fully boxed ladder frame making use of more high-strength steels and also boasts several components made from aluminum which have lowered the vehicle’s weight by up to 317 kg (700 lbs) compared to the model it replaces. It comes with a remote tailgate, LED bed lights, trailer hitch assist while inside there is an eight-inch “productivity screen”, as well as a 360-degree camera system, trailer brake controller and a rear view camera.
Underneath the hood the 2015 Ford F-150 will be offered with a choice of four engine, starting off with a V6 2.7-liter EcoBoost, followed by a V6 3.5-liter EcoBoost and a V6 3.5-liter, along with the range-topping V8 5.0-liter Ti-VCT mill.
Ford has announced the new F-150 is scheduled to go on sale this fall and it will be available in the following trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum and the flagship King Rach. There will also be an FX4 off-road package, along with a sport appearance package and a chrome appearance package.
