2015 Ford Mustang launched
Ford has finally introduced the sixth generation of its pony car, following months of rumors, spy photos and a lot of anticipation. The 2015 Mustang looks very aggressive and has a bold front fascia with a trapezoidal grille and slender headlights. We also notice the sculpted hood, tri-bar taillights, wider rear fenders and sequential turn signals. Inside it adopts an aviation-inspired cabin with more premium materials and a variety of tech systems such as MyColor gauges, Track Apps, MyFord Touch, SYNC, Shaker Pro sound system and Intelligent Access.
It will be available with a choice of three engines, starting with a V6 3.7-liter developing at least 300 bhp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The mid-range engine will be a 4-cylinder, 2.3-liter EcoBoost rated at more than 305 bhp and 300 lb-ft, while the range-topping motor is going to be a V8 5.0-liter unleashing more than 420 bhp and 390 lb-ft. These engines work together with manual and automatic gearboxes.
Another novelty is the integral-link independent rear suspension which promises to bring a reduced unsprung mass and better handling. The 2015 Ford Mustang will also come with a newly developed stability control system and standard launch control.
