An undisguised prototype of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata was spotted apparently at one of the company’s factories. The vehicle will adopt a considerably more premium exterior appearance highlighted by that prominent front grille which is surrounded by modern headlights featuring a sweptback layout. Other than that, the all-new Sonata is going to feature wraparound taillights as well as a considerably sloping roofline leaving us with the impression this is a four-door coupe.
Details about what will power the 2015 Sonata are scarce at this moment but it is believed Hyundai will offer the base model with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine outputting 201 bhp and 264 Nm of torque. This engine would serve as a replacement for the current 4-cylinder 2.4-liter motor.
