2015 Kia Sorento breaks cover
Kia has unveiled the all-new Sorento which is programmed to make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. The South Korean crossover adopts an evolutionary design and looks considerably more upscale than the model it replaces, featuring a more prominent tiger nose corporate front grille that boasts a three dimensional diamond pattern. It also comes with styling sweptback headlights and has received a higher beltline while the roofline gently slopes at the back. There’s also lots of chrome trim, plastic body cladding and a rear spoiler mounted on the tailgate.
Kia says the overhauled Sorento is 4780mm long, 1685mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2780mm so it’s 80mm longer than before. Photos of the interior cabin have not been revealed but Kia says the 2015 Sorento benefits from “numerous innovative features.”
Details about the engine lineup are not available at this point but there should be a 4-cylinder 2.4-liter and a V6 3.3-liter together with 2.0- and 2.2-liter CRDi diesel. Latest reports are also indicating the introduction of a hybrid version but details are not available at this point.
