2015 Toyota Camry goes official with premium styling
Toyota has taken the wraps off the facelifted 2015MY Camry this week at the New York Auto Show in United States. It looks considerably more upscale than its predecessor as it has taken several styling cues from the Avalon. We notice the implementation of a larger front grille as well as a beefy lower air intake while the headlights and taillights have also been tweaked. Opt for the SE variant and you get a sportier front appearance with mesh grille inserts and black accents. The new XSE derivative brings a sport-tuned suspension, bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels and an updated power steering system.
Toyota has installed additional sound-deadening material, along with a different instrument cluster that has a generous 4.2-inch TFT screen. There are also a few satin chrome accents, optional wireless charging for smartphones, along with a USB insert and a 12V outlet.
The engines will be carried over from the pre-facelift variant so the 2015 Camry will be available with a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter with 178 bhp, a hybridized 4-cylidner 2.5-liter rated at 200 bhp, along with a larger V6 3.5-liter that pumps out 268 bhp.
Sales of the 2015 Toyota Camry facelift are slated to commence this fall.
