2015 Toyota Prius v facelift bows in Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Auto Show has hosted the world premiere of the 2015 Toyota Prius v scheduled to go on sale in the near future. The model is a little bit more aggressive than the 2014MY in terms of design thanks to a tweaked front grille and updated headlights. Clients are able to select from fresh new body colors such as Absolutely Red, Attitude Black Metallic along with Toasted Walnut Pearl. On the inside the changes are subtle but we should mention the Entune infotainment system with a 6.1-inch screen, along with a new eight-way power driver’s seat providing power lumbar support.
The more expensive versions of the 2015 Toyota Prius v facelift benefit from a 4.2-inch TFT display installed in the instrument cluster providing information about the navigation, climate control and all the other relevant data. Another novelty is the upgraded advanced technology package which now includes lane departure alert and automatic high beams
Motivation is provided by the same Hybrid Synergy Drive system encompassing an Atkinson-cycle 1.8-liter engine working together with an electric motor. This hardware setup provide the model with a combined output of 134 bhp (100 kW) and according to Toyota the vehicle is capable of returning an EPA-estimated 44 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.
