2015 Volkswagen Golf US-spec priced from $17,995
Volkswagen has announced pricing details for the U.S.-spec 2015MY Golf which will carry a starting price of $17,995, without taking into account the $820 destination & handling charges. The vehicle is slated to go on sale in August and will be offered in the entry-level version only with three doors and standard goodies like power windows and locks, air conditioning, an infotainment system with 5.8-inch touchscreen display along with Bluetooth connectivity. Opt for the Golf S ($18,995) and you also get 16-inch alloys, leather steering wheel, leatherette seats, Car-Net connected services while for an extra $1,000 you can get it with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Moving higher into the range we find the Golf SE at $24,495 which can be had only as a five-door hatchback with 17-inch rims, rain-sensing windshield, automatic headlights, as well as a Fender sound system, rearview camera and heated front seats. There’s also a $26,995 Golf SEL with automatic climate control, ambient interior lightning, push button ignition, sport comfort seats and GPS navigation system.
The standard engine is a 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter turbo with 170 bhp and 200 lb-ft but the Golf US-spec can also be had with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbodiesel rated at 150 bhp and 236 lb-t. As for pricing, the Golf TDI S is $21,995, followed by the Golf TDI SE at $25,495 and the range-topping Golf TDI SEL beginning at $27,995.
