2016 Chevrolet Spark breaks cover
The all-new 2016 Chevrolet Spark has made its official debut this week at the New York Auto Show. It takes the evolutionary route as far as the design is concerned but they managed to make it more refined and upscale compared to the outgoing model. The supermini gets a dual-port front grille and sleeker headlights while the side profile shows more prominent character lines along with a sloping roofline as well as a different tailgate featuring a built-in spoiler.
Photos of the interior cabin are not available at this point, but Chevrolet says they have installed more comfy seats that have better fabrics. It also benefits from trapezoidal air vents, color-coded trim along with an infotainment system packing a seven-inch screen.
The 2016 Chevrolet Spark is motivated by a 4-cylinder 1.4-liter Ecotec engine developing 98 bhp (73 kW). Output is sent to the front axle through a 5-speed manual or an optional CVT. When working with the continuously variable transmission, the new Spark will return around 40 mpg on the highway.
Assembly is set to take place in South Korea and the model will be sold in more than 40 countries from all over the world. Chevrolet says the new Spark will go on sale in United States in the fourth quarter of 2015.
