2016 Ford F-150 goes official
The 2016 Ford F-150 has made its online debut and is scheduled to go on sale in the near future. The best-selling truck in North America has reached 2016MY which brings a new Pro Trailer Backup Assist system which allows drivers to easily back a trailer up to launch or park in the driveway. This represents a segment-first equipment and enables the driver to steer the trailer instinctively simply by turning a knob left or right to indicate direction while the truck will automatically control steering and is going to limit the speed of the vehicle. The new model year also brings a CNG/Propane fuel prep package which depending on the fuel tank’s capacity costs between $7,500 to $9,000.
A more important change is the implementation of Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system which aims to be quicker as well as more intuitive compared to the previous MyFord Touch. Customers will be able to order the 2016 Ford F-150 with new optional 20-inch machined alloys along with new body colors such as Lithium Gray and Shadow Black that replace Guard Metallic and Tuxedo Black, respectively.
Opt for the XLT or Lariat trim and now you can also choose the Special Edition Package encompassing black running boards, tinted headlights, bespoke 20-inch rims and a dark anodized front grille. It also brings body side graphics and a revised interior cabin with two-tone seats featuring Alcantara inserts and red contrast stitching.
