2016 Lexus GS F debuts online, packs 467 bhp
The 2016 Lexus GS F has made its online premiere and will receive a public debut next week at the North American International Auto Show. It was developed to rival cars such as the BMW M5 and has received a very aggressive body with beefy air intakes, ventilated front fenders, trunk-mounted spoiler along with 19-inch alloys and LED headlights. The high-performance sedan also boasts a quad exhaust arrangement and comes with prominent side skirts providing a muscular appearance. On the inside it has gained carbon fiber trim and two-tone sport seats while metallic accents and contrast stitching are also there to enhance the sporty look.
At its heart is a powerful naturally aspirated V8 5.0-liter engine outputting 467 bhp (348 kW) and 527 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque channeled to the wheels with help from an 8-speed automatic gearbox that allows manual shifting. The 2016 Lexus GS F will be equipped as standard with a torque vectoring differential that has three distinct modes: standard, slalom and track. Other goodies on the menu include a sport-tuned suspension and a stiffer chassis.
More details will be revealed at NAIAS in Detroit next week so stay tuned.
