2016 Mitsubishi Outlander facelift officially revealed in NY
At the ongoing New York Auto Show, the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander facelift has been revealed with a series of improvements. It looks considerably different than the 2015MY as it adopts a fresh “Dynamic Shield” front fascia with a huge grille and slender headlights. It has gained restyled front fenders, updated rear bumper, unique 18-inch alloys and LED taillights. On the inside, Mitsubishi has installed a new steering wheel, better infotainment system and an updated trim while a better headliner and improved seats have also been added.
Power of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander facelift comes from a 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine with 166 bhp and 162 lb-ft but there’s also a beefier V6 3.0-liter developing 224 bhp and 215 lb-ft. The four-cylinder engine works with a new continuously variable transmission whereas the V6 is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander facelift has gained a redesigned suspension, improved chassis as well as a newly developed electric power steering system. The cabin’s NVH levels have been reduced thanks to a noise-insulating windshield, improved weather stripping, more sound-deadening material and thicker rear door glass.
