Shelby has made an impression at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show with their version of the Mustang GT. As you would imagine, the vehicle is based on the 2014 Ford Mustang GT and comes with a redesigned front fascia packing a billet grille and a fiberglass hood. It has also received 20-inch rims wrapped around in BFG G-Force Comp2 tires and benefits from a Ford Racing suspension and a short shifter. Under the hood is a V8 5.0-liter engine that comes with a new sports exhaust system and air intake. These changes have increased output by 10 bhp to 430 bhp in the GT version.
Opt for the more hardcore GT/SC model and you also get a supercharger which bumps the engine’s power to 525 bhp or even to 624 bhp. When it has the more powerful version, the vehicle will sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.7 seconds while the quarter mile takes about 11.5 seconds.
The GT kit will set you back $14,995 whereas the GT/SC package is priced at $27,995.
