According to a Chinese website, Peugeot is working hard on a mid-size SUV that will be sold with the “6008” moniker once it goes on sale in China in 2015. The attached photo most likely shows the concept that is rumored to make an appearance in 2014 at the Beijing Motor Show. Following the concept’s showcasing at the auto show, Citroen will introduce its production sibling in 2015 and will utilize the newly developed EMP2 platform. Chances are the car will be produced exclusively in China by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture.
Power will come from a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo rated at 163 bhp while for more money clients will be able to opt for a new V6 engine. The entry-level variant will allegedly cost 200,000 yuan whereas the flagship version will cost 250,000 yuan.
