All-new Peugeot 308 SW exhibited in Geneva

A couple of months ago we saw Peugeot’s all-new 308 SW and now the car has been publicly introduced at the 84th Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. Peugeot has elongated the 308 wagon by 327mm in comparison to the five-door hatchback and it offers an extra 140 liters of trunk space, with the capacity growing to a respectable 610 liters which matches the Skoda Octavia Combi but it’s still 14 liters less than the Honda Civic Tourer. The vehicle is based on PSA’s EMP2 platform and depending on the version it has lost a whopping 140 kg compared to the model it replaces.

2014 Peugeot 308 SW-1

The 2014 Peugeot 308 SW will be sold with a variety of four-cylinder Euro 6-compliant gasoline and diesel engines, with outputs varying from 110 bhp and 155 bhp for the gasoline motors and between 92 bhp to 150 bhp for the diesels. There will also be a more potent 308 SW GTi equipped most likely with a 1.6-liter THP outputting somewhere in the region of 250 bhp.
