Datsun has introduced today the on-DO, a small budget sedan created specifically for the Russian market where it will go on sale this summer. The vehicle was designed in Japan while the engineering was conducted in Russia by an international team at AVTOVAZ. It’s essentially a sedan version of the GO hatchback and has the following physical dimensions: 4337mm length, 1700mm width and 1500mm height. Datsun says the on-DO has the most spacious trunk in its category, offering no less than 530 liters which is a remarkable figure taken into account the sized of the car.
The vehicle will be produced in Togliatti, Russia by AVTOVAZ and will be offered only with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine delivering 87 bhp. Datsun says the model will have a starting price of less than 400,000 RUB (about 8,200 euros) and will be sold in Russia at 25 dealerships.
