Lexus teases NX production version
Lexus is preparing the production version of the NX crossover which will be shown in full in just a couple of weeks at this year’s New York International Auto Show. They actually previewed the model in September 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show with a concept and then in November by an updated version of the concept equipped with Lexus’ first ever turbocharged gasoline engine. However, actual details about the production model are not known at this point but as you can see from the teaser it will have a huge spindle grille and LED technology in the headlights and daytime running lights.
What will power the 2015 Lexus NX production version? Most likely a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that will probably be coupled to an optional all-wheel drive system. There are also talks about taking the hybrid system from the ES 300h where there’s a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine working in collaboration with an electric motor.
