BMW is offering a sneak preview of its next generation 7-Series flagship model with the Vision Future Luxury concept which features a chassis manufactured from carbon fiber and aluminum. The vehicle has received OLED taillights and carbon fiber air deflectors, while for a more premium trim the Bavarian marque opted for an elegant chrome trim. On the inside there’s a wraparound instrument cluster as well as a contact-analogue Vision Head Up Display.
As you can see from these official images, the B-pillars are very small and they do not take up much space while the suicide doors provide an easier entrance into the luxurious cabin. The seat frames are actually built into the load-bearing structure while the extensive use of carbon fiber has probably shed some considerably weight although BMW refused to specify an exact weight.
The next-gen 7-Series is expected to come out sometime next year and will probably be influenced by this stunning concept.
