Skoda has unveiled the Yeti Xtreme concept which is being characterized as a “compact SUV with rally car ambitions.” The vehicle will be showcased starting today in Austria at Worthersee where it will bring its aggressive body equipped with flared wheel arches, beefier air intakes in the front bumper, along with a height adjustable chassis. It also comes with underbody protection and two hexagonal-shaped exhaust pipes, while the 17-inch alloys are wrapped around in off-road tires and they stop efficiently thanks to a braking system sourced from the Octavia RS. Other highlights include Recaro seats, LED taillights, carbon fiber door panels and four-point seatbelts.
Under the hood of the Skoda Yeti Xtreme concept there’s a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder TSI engine delivering 150 PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. All that power is transferred to a four-wheel drive system with help from a 6-speed DSG gearbox enabling the vehicle to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 9 seconds prior to reaching a maximum speed of 120 mph (192 km/h).
