SsangYong has issued a teaser announcement yesterday for the XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concepts which will premiere next month at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Both of them will serve as a preview for the X100 crossover programmed to go on sale in 2015. According to the South Korean marque, XIV refers to “eXciting user-Interface Vehicle” and these two concepts share a 2600mm wheelbase and a 4195mm overall length. More details about the duo will be released on October 2 when the concepts will be showcased at the auto show in France.
SsangYong says the B-segment X100 crossover is going to be offered with a four-cylinder 1.6-liter gasoline engine along with a four-cylinder 1.6-liter diesel but their outputs have not been disclosed yet. We do know both engines will meet the stringent Euro 6 emissions standards. We estimate an optional rugged styling package will be offered for the X100 judging by the XIV-Adventure concept painted in green and depicted in the attached images.
