All-new Renault Megane first images published
The fourth generation Renault Megane is being officially previewed in a series of fully revealing images. An all-new compact hatchback, the Megane IV has been lowered by 25mm and benefits from wider tracks (+47mm front & +39mm rear) while the wheelbase has been elongated by 28mm, so expect to find a more accommodating interior cabin with extra room for the rear passengers. They also reduced the rear overhang and put several chrome accents which overall make the new C segment contender quite appealing as it looks like a mini Talisman hatchback.
One of the cars featured in the attached images is actually a hotter GT edition featuring a new Iron Blue paint and Renault Sport exterior badging. This one has sportier front and rear bumpers, a dual exhaust setup with chrome tips, along with a faux diffuser and Dark Metal accents. It sits on bespoke 18-inch Renault Sport wheels and can also be distinguished by the beefier air scoops and the larger air intake.
The 2016 Renault Megane will receive its world premiere next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show before going on sale towards the end of the year or early 2016. Shortly after the hatchback’s launch, Renault will then roll out the more practical wagon body style.
