Scion launches FR-S Release Series 2.0 in United States
Scion has taken the wraps off the FR-S Release Series 2.0 set to be sold exclusively in the U.S. A follow up to last year’s model, the new one is limited to 1,000 examples and comes with a Lunar Storm exterior paint as well as a new aerodynamic body kit featuring front lip and trunk lid spoiler while up front it gets HID headlights with LED daytime running lights. The model has been equipped with 17-inch forged alloy wheels and can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox that has Dynamic Rev Management technology and comes with paddle shifters.
On the inside it has received black Alcantara and leather for the heated seats, an individually numbered badge, black leather for the door armrests and parking brake lever, along with several camel-colored accents to spice up the cabin.
Scion is asking $29,510 if you want the manual FR-S Release Series 2.0 whereas the automatic model kicks off at $30,160. Both prices do not take into account the additional $795 for destination, packaging and handling charges. Orders can already be placed, but you would better hurry as Scion has plans on making just 1,000 cars, with deliveries likely kicking off early next year.
