The Dodge Ram 1500 appeared in the showrooms & dealer shops for the first time in 2002, and a number of models & variants have been produced since then. A refurbished model with the name 2019 Ram 1500 is on the production line and is expected to hit the market soon. The new full-size pickup truck will come with improved cargo-hauling and towing power.
Exterior Design
The entire exterior of the eagerly awaited Ram 1500 will get a design and features of a typical Dodge pickup truck. However, there will be a few modifications that will give the vehicle a more modern and bold look. The automaker will use aluminum and high strength steel to construct the new pickup truck.
The grille section of the 2019 Ram 1500 will look a bit aggressive and will be complimented by HID headlamps & LED DRLs. In the rear end, the car will have a spacious cargo box, a split tailgate with the RAM badge and a revised exhaust system. Some classic 17-inch aluminum wheels will also be a major highlight in the exterior.
Interior Design
The cabin of the 2019 Ram 1500 will get a top notch design that will make the car more comfortable and convenient than its predecessor. The seats will be covered with quality materials and will feature important components such as headrests, armrests and adjustment mechanisms.
The dashboard will have a large touchscreen, a modern instrument cluster and a myriad of control buttons. The center console will get digital controls for technological features such as automatic climate control, Smartphone integration, navigation system, Bluetooth, premium sound system and USB ports.
Engine and Performance
The 2019 Ram 1500 will come with two powertrain choices. It will get a 3.6-liter V-6 engine capable of producing 304 hp and 283 lb-ft. The other choice will be a 5.7-liter V-8 engine rated at 402 hp and 415 lb-ft.
The two engines will use an 8-speed automatic transmission system and will support a rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive. The fuel consumption figures are expected to be in the regions of 23 mpg/city and 31 mpg/highway.
Safety and security
The Dodge pickup truck will be safe and secure with the following features: seatbelts, security alarms, forward collision alert mechanism, lane keep assist, airbags, hill-descent control system and adaptive cruise control, among others.
Competition
The main rivals of the 2019 Ram 1500 will be the latest models of these similar cars: Ford F-250, Nissan Navara, Chevy Avalanche, Ford Ranger, Toyota Tundra and GMC Sierra.
Price and Release Date
The starting price of the 2019 Ram 1500 will be fixed at around $29,000 and the highest price at around $38,000. The prices will be based on the type of the body style, among other factors. As for the release date, the pickup truck will be available to customers in the late 2017 or 2018 as a 2018-2019 model.
