2020 Acura RDX Arrives at Dealerships

The 2020 Acura RDX has finally arrived at dealerships with its award-winning True Touchpad Interface and extensive safety package! Coming off of a complete redesign from last years model, the RDX continues to offer exceptional steering and handling along with a roomy interior and a comprehensive list of features. All of which makes this luxury SUV stand out from the crowd. The 2020 Acura RDX also hits dealerships with a new Platinum White exterior color.

The RDX starts things off with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which pumps out an impressive 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. All that power provided by the turbocharged engine allows for quick acceleration and a fun drive overall. The engine then comes mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission (Yes, that’s right 10-speed says Tim Short Acura of South Charleston!) You can pair the RDX with either front-wheel or all-wheel-drive. Acura’s torque-vectoring Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system can route torque across the rear axle which allows for superior handling into and out of corners.

Once you move away from the engine bay of the RDX you’ll find an extensive list of features. The Base model comes with a fantastic panoramic sunroof that allows plenty of light into the RDX and makes the cabin feel airier and more spacious. The RDX also comes with keyless ignition and entry and a power liftgate so loading up your RDX is a breeze. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a 10.2-inch central display which uses a True Touchpad Interface, a 9-speaker sound system, smartphone integration, 12-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and AcuraWatch. AcuraWatch is Acura’s comprehensive driver aid package which includes lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Acura then offers several well-equipped packages for the RDX including the Technology package, A-Spec package, and the Advance package. The Technology package for the RDX includes an upgraded 12-speaker sound system, navigation, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, two rear-seat USB ports, rear cross-traffic alert, and leather upholstery.

The A-Spec package tacks on ventilated seats, a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D surround-sound system, wider tires, blacked-out trim, and 20-inch wheels to the RDX.

The most well-equipped out of the three packages is the Advance package which provides a quieter ride with acoustic front door glass. The hands-free liftgate takes all the frustration out of trying to load up your vehicle when your hands are full of groceries. While a heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, the 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D surround-sound system, and upgraded power-adjustable front seats add even more luxurious features to the already well-equipped RDX. The Advance package also adds an adaptive suspension and a customizable head-up display so you never have to take your eyes off the road.

The 2019 version of the Acura RDX received high praise across the board and the 2020 model is expected to do surpass last years expectations. The 2019 RDX received a “Best Compact Luxury SUV for Families” by U.S. News and World Report. Along with a 5-star Overall VEhicle Score form the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration thanks to Acura’s fully loaded AcuraWatch package.
