British marque Lotus has disclosed full details about the Exige S Roadster which will be going on sale this summer. It is being described as a “race-bred sports car” which “possesses the poise of a sleek convertible” and as we can see it take most of the styling cues from the coupe variant. It has been fitted with 17- / 18-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, LED-infused headlights and a very aggressive front fascia. It’s priced at 52,900 pounds (VAT included) in the United Kingdom, while those living in countries part of the European Union will have to pay 55,378 euros (taxes included).
Power comes from a mid-mounted V6 3.5-liter mill featuring a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger. The setup provides the Lotus Exige S Roadster with 350 HP and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Thanks to this configuration, the 1,160 kg roadster can sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in four seconds and will reach an electronically-capped top speed of 145 mph (233 km/h).
