Subaru has recently revealed a special edition of the WRX STI which goes by the name of tS Type RA. It will be sold exclusively in Japan and be offered in one of the three following colors: Blue Mica, Satin White Pearl and Tangerine Orange Pearl. It can be easily distinguished thanks to its glossy black accents, front lip spoiler and exterior mirrors with built-in LED turn signals. Other goodies worth mentioning include “tS” branded sill plates, leather-covered steering wheel and sports seats. The Subaru WRX STI tS Type RA has also gained an STI-tweaked suspension with uprated springs, struts and dampers.
It also has a quicker steering ratio, a front tower brace and Brembo brakes. At an additional cost, the car can be configured with a Nürburgring Challenge Package encompassing carbon fiber rear spoiler, Recaro front seats and 18-inch BBS alloys wrapped around in Bridgestone Potenza RE070 rubbers.
Only 300 units will be made, 200 of which will have the optional Nürburgring package. Pricing kicks off from 4,410,000 yen.
