BMW 1-Series M Coupe gets tweaked by LEIB Engineering

Perhaps one of the most popular cars among aftermarket specialists is the BMW 1-Series M Coupe. The latest tuner to take care of such a car would have to be LEIB Engineering. The first thing that they did was to apply a rather appealing matte grey foil wrap and after that they mounted a trunk-lid spoiler which has been manufactured from carbon fiber to keep the weight down as much as possible. There’s also a sport suspension provided by Bilstein, while the diffuser comes from Alpha-N. The vehicle now rides on shockingly blue 20-inch Bavaria BC5 Concave rims shod in Yokohama Advan Sport tires.

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe has maintained its inline-six 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine but the ECU was remapped while the stock exhaust system was replaced by a Supersprint unit. As a result of these modifications, output has increased by 60 HP (44 kW) and 44 lb-ft (60 Nm) to 400 HP (298 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm).

LEIB Engineering is also offering a “suction system”, bigger turbochargers and updated exhaust and cooling systems. After all these tweaks are made, the engine’s output is bumped to 500 HP (367 kW) and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.
