ABT Sportsline will have on display later this week at the Essen Motor Show a heavily modified Audi RS3 Sportback. The latest iteration of the kit focuses on the 5-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which has been upgraded to no less than 450 PS (331 kW) and a peak torque of 406 lb-ft (550 Nm). This is significantly more than the stock engine which generates 367 PS (270 kW) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque. Performance numbers have not been disclosed, but it probably needs about 4 seconds for the 0-100 km/h run and will hit a top speed of somewhere in the region of 290 km/h.
The additional oomph was possible by installing the tuner’s Engine Control unit and also thanks to a custom sports exhaust system that comes with four 102-mm oval black chrome tips. The car that will be shown in Essen will also have a matte red body with glossy black accents and 19-inch wheels wrapped in Continental 235/35 ZR19 tires.
There’s a custom lowering spring set bringing the Audi RS3 Sportback closer to the road by 30 mm front & 25 mm rear, while on the inside there’s plenty of Alcantara combined with a carbon fiber trim.
