Acura launches 2015 TLX in New York

At the beginning of the year at NAYAS in Detroit we saw Acura’s TLX prototype and now the 2015MY production model has been unveiled in New York. Although it looks a lot more conservative than the prototype, the production-ready 2015MY Acura TLX does sport a premium yet slightly outdated design with jewel eye headlights equipped with LED technology. It also comes with an angular front grille while on the inside it has gained metallic accents, a wood grain trim and a seven-inch touchscreen display. We should mention the 60:40-split folding rear seat and a 10-speaker sound system.

It can be powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine outputting 206 bhp and 182 lb-ft of torque or by a V6 3.5-liter that churns 290 bhp and 267 lb-ft. The smaller engine works with a dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox whereas the V6 is mated to a 9-speed automatic ‘box which can be optionally coupled to an AWD system.
