The Alpine Vision Gran Turismo has made its online debut and will be offered for free in the PlayStaton3-exclusive Gran Turismo 6. It’s currently being showcased in Paris at the Festival Automobile Festival and then it will be exhibited between February 4 and 8 at the Porte de Versailles during the 2015 Retromobile Show. The futuristic race car has been envisioned with a 4.5-liter V8 gasoline engine developing 450 HP (331 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque at 2,000 rpm. The engine works with a 7-speed sequential transmission sending power to the rear axle.
Renault says the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo has a curb weight of only 1,985 lbs (900 kg) distributed 47 percent front / 53 percent rear. The high output low weight combo grants the concept with a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
The Alpine Vision Gran Turismo will be introduced in Gran Turismo 6 in March as part of a free update.
