Aston Martin CC100 concept announced
British marque Aston Martin is celebrating its centenary with a special concept that goes by the name of CC100. The styling is inspired from the firm’s iconic DBR1 from 1959 which managed to win Le Mans. This latest concept adopts a two-seat speedster layout with a carbon fiber body and interior cabin.
Although styling is retro-inspired, we can see Aston Martin designers have also implemented the most modern design ideas seen in recent AM models, resulting in a blend of classic and contemporary which looks exceptional.
The Aston Martin CC100 concept is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission which helps the vehicle perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint a little more than four seconds, on its way to a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) which is electronically-capped. The vehicle is approximately two meters wide and 4.5 meters long, while weight should be around 2,645 lbs (1,200 kg).
