Aston Martin teases Lagonda luxury sedan
Aston Martin has finally confirmed plans to bring back the “Lagonda” moniker and they will do it through a super luxurious sedan which is planned to come out at the beginning of 2015. The British marque is describing it as a “bespoke product” which is set to enter “strictly limited” production. The vehicle will boast carbon fiber body panels and will ride on the VH platform, with power likely coming from a V12 6.0-liter engine developing somewhere in the region of 600 bhp (447 kW).
Aston Martin says the Lagonda will only be offered in the Middle East on an “invitation only” basis, with a starting price that will “commensurate with the car’s exclusivity, quality and luxurious nature.” The company’s design director Marek Reichman says the model will be just as exclusive as the One-77 and V12 Zagato and will be a “piece of exceptional automotive art” and was “developed entirely in keeping with the spirit and ethos of previous Lagonda super saloons.”
