Audi has prepared yet another special edition of the R8 for the Chinese market. What sets this model apart from the stock R8 would have to be the Cool Nordic Gold paint which has been developed especially for this limited variant and won’t be offered for the regular versions.
In addition, the German sports car has received an elegant matte black trim, 19-inch alloys and various titanium grey accents. Also worth mentioning would have to be the carbon fiber inserts on the rear wing, sideblades and mirrors which spice up the exterior look of this R8 Limited Edition.
Moving inside the cabin we notice “shark skin” leather knee pads, sport seats wrapped around in Alcantara, as well as a Cool Nordic Gold trim enhancing the interior. Audi’s designers also added carbon fiber trim on the door handles while in typical limited/special edition style there’s an individually-numbered gear knob manufactured from aluminum.
The Audi R8 Limited Edition for China is powered by the familiar V10 5.2-liter engine capable of outputting an impressive 525 HP (386 kW) and a peak torque of 391 lb-ft (530 Nm). The entire horsepower is sent to the quattro all-wheel drive system through an R tronic transmission which allows the R8 to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.9 seconds.
It will be manufactured in only 30 units, with a base price of 2,628,000 Yuan (317,435 euros or $422,820).
