Audi prepares 2014 TTS Competition
Ingolstadt-based automaker Audi has produced 500,000 units of the TT and for this occasion they decided to celebrate by unveiling a special TTS Competition version. It can be ordered in either Imola Yellow or Nimbus Gray and comes equipped with 19-inch alloys wrapped around in 225/35 tires. On the inside it gets an Impulse leather package with Imola yellow contrasting stitching.
Other goodies worth mentioning include a magnetic ride damper control system, xenon plus headlights, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and aluminum badges on the door sills.
Both the coupe and roadster versions are motivated by a TFSI 2.0-liter engine outputting 272 HP and a peak torque of 258 lb-ft. The mill can be linked to either a six-speed S tronic or to a six-speed manual gearbox. The coupe equipped with the S tronic needs 5.3 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) while with the manual it is 0.2s slower. The roadster with the S tronic will do the sprint in 5.5 seconds or in 5.7 seconds if you select the manual transmission.
Audi has announced they will produce only 500 units of this special edition, with production commencing this October.
